Working at a funeral agency is, of course, about grief and loss, but it is also largely about life. Both the life that has ceased and left unique traces, and the life that must continue in a new way for the loved ones.

As a funeral advisor, you provide security, structure, and knowledge in a situation where the person you meet often feels loss, stress, and worry. Many have never experienced death up close and have never planned a funeral. Support is needed when strength wanes and life’s puzzle needs to fit together, but also someone who listens and understands when one is in the midst of grief.

Important qualities in the person we are looking for are that you are secure in yourself, attentive, empathetic, engaged, and structured. We place greater emphasis on your personality than on education and previous job roles.

For obvious reasons, the workload can sometimes be uneven and the working hours irregular. Your day may consist of representation, officiating at civil funerals, customer visits, transportation, and laying out the deceased where heavy lifting is involved, contacts with suppliers, administration, planning for upcoming funerals, and general office work.

The position also includes some on-call duty with emergency response. Therefore, you must be flexible and enjoy providing good service in all situations. To handle all tasks, you need to have a B driver's license, basic computer skills, and speak fluent Swedish.

With us, you work independently under your own responsibility but are part of a positive community. In our team, we trust each other and support one another. You will receive practical training, and we will conduct joint visits to ensure both you and the client feel secure.

The position is a permanent full-time employment, and we apply a six-month probationary period. Start date is according to agreement, and applications are processed continuously, so do not hesitate to reach out.
